Art 1 Final Exam

Art Final

1. Which project was your favorite or most successful this semester? Please explain.

The clay tile was my most favorite and successful piece of art because it was really fun to mold the clay and then paint it afterwards. I feel like I spent a lot of time on the molding and paint in my opinion and the textures and some "Oomph" to the clay. All these characteristics made it look very 3-D and lifelike. It really put our painting skills to the test because if you messed up, you couldn't really change it. You would have to paint over it and keep at it. This probably by far the best work I've done all year. The only hard part about this was planning out which animal you would do. But other than that, this is the best one yet.

1    2. Regardless of whether you liked or disliked a project, which one did you learn, grow, or developed the most from? Please explain.

I really disliked this one because I didn't spend much time on this project. I did learn that painting takes time and art abilities to make it look really good! I learned to put a lot more values in painting and colors do count. I didn't put much value to the "light source" and also it didn't really turn out how I wanted it but everything we do is art in my opinion. I also learned from this that painting takees time and if you mess up, you could just paint right over it. It really does take true skill to paint.

     4. Which project do you feel was the least important in learning the concepts taught in this course? Please explain.

The stencil, in my opinion, was not as important. You really just cut out a stencil and paint over it. It didn't take as much skill to make. The only fun part about this project was the painting and just waiting for it to dry. I liked it though no matter how much I did or didn't like it. Other than that, I did enjoy it no matter how "not important" it was to me. It was more of like a great warm up to me. With all that said I did like the colors I chose. I thought the 2 light and 2 dark colors blended well together.
